As Facilities & Manufacturing Manager you will help drive our steady growth through the direction and development of employees in the paint and assembly departments, as well as coordinating construction and maintenance of the plant and its machinery.

As the manufacturing arm for our customers, Mack has built a worldwide reputation as a reliable provider of plastic injection molding services and contract manufacturer in a number of diverse markets, including medical, industrial, transportation, energy/environment, computer and business, and consumer products. The East Arlington Facilities and Manufacturing Manager is key to sustaining our position by providing focus and direction to ensure quality, productivity, safety, and employee relations goals are met.

This includes conducting root cause analysis on issues to ensure internal and external departmental customers are satisfied; providing technical leadership and direction while working with manufacturing engineers, recommending and implementing equipment, process and material enhancements; and analyzing and planning workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow through design layouts for equipment and workspace. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a constructive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating WIP and process improvement, and developing systems for tracking efficiency, quality, scrap and rework.

As the facilities team leader, this role is responsible for overseeing and directing maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair and preventive maintenance, including inspecting the plant and evaluating space use, and analyzing HVAC systems, computer network wiring and lighting, as well as performing audits to support facility planning. The Facilities and Manufacturing Manager also formulates and coordinates program specifications and requirements for proposals and contracts; serves as liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies; and inspects construction and installation progress.

The ideal candidate have a bachelor's degree plus three to five years of experience in a management or supervisor position. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preference will be shown to candidates with previous experience with injection molding and coatings/paint applications. Successful candidates will have working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, along with three to five years of experience with ERP systems, preferably MAPICS software.
