Process Engineering Supervisor
Job Description
Reports To: Molding Room Manager
Department: Molding
Division: Northern Division
Location: Headquarters, Arlington or Cavendish Plant
Summary: Plans, directs, coordinates, evaluates and provides leadership and development/mentoring for salaried and hourly employees that provide technical support to the molding room.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Work with Molding Room Manager to ensure that daily schedules, quality and production goals are met, troubleshoots problems as required.
· Provide technical leadership for department, including recommending and implementing equipment, process and material enhancements.
· Analyzes and plans technical workforce utilization, space requirements and work flow including design layouts for equipment and workspace.
· Maintains constructive working relationship with business units, customers, and internal departments including effective communication, coordination of WIP and process improvement.
· Researches and makes recommendations on production and auxiliary equipment procurement, identifies new technologies and expansion plans.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in Engineering, plus 5 or more years experience in injection molding, processing and troubleshooting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous manufacturing management experience to include supervision, and project management at exempt level required.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Three to five years experience with ERP systems required, preferably with MAPICS software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
